Message from the Department Head
Dear Electrical Engineering Students,
We live in an era where technology is rapidly changing and developing. Electricity is at the center of all these technological advancements. Today, we can’t even imagine a life without electricity. This makes Electrical Engineering a very important field. Through the quality education it offers, the Electrical Engineering Department at Afyon Kocatepe University aims to educate engineers who will make a name for themselves through their successful work on national and international platforms. To this end, we strive to cultivate students who possess problem-solving skills, prioritize interdisciplinary work, are analytical, questioning, independent, and able to apply their knowledge to real-world engineering problems. Through core and elective courses, students can expand their knowledge in both fundamental engineering fields and current technologies. Furthermore, through applied courses, they can develop their practical skills. Furthermore, through minor and double major programs, students are offered the opportunity to develop their skills in various fields. Furthermore, through conferences, workshops, technical trips, and other activities, our students have the opportunity to support their technical and social development. We firmly believe that our graduates will be highly sought-after and successful in both industry and academia as engineers who possess advanced problem-solving skills, embrace professional ethics, work in teams, and are constantly learning and developing.
With a young and dynamic faculty comprised of respected academics in their respective fields, a well-equipped laboratory infrastructure, and strong partnerships with various educational institutions both domestically and internationally, our primary goal is for Afyon Kocatepe University’s Electrical Engineering Department to become a recognized research institution both in our country and internationally.
